Although we follow the Early Years Foundation Stage 2021, we have created our own set of goals that we feel are important and that we would like our children to learn and experience during their time with us.

Parental Expectations
We understand that parents have different expectations of their children when they attend our Pre-school. Our staff have good knowledge and understanding of developmental milestones and realistic expectations of each child to help our children make progress.
Expectations can be a positive way to promote children's development as long as they are realistic and are attuned to children's interests, tendencies and their temperament. If parents expectations are set too high for the age and stage of their child then children will fail resulting in disappointed parents and children having low self-esteem and a lack of confidence.

'My First Five Years' Website and App
The 'My First Five Years' App allows parents to access information to help parents to understand, enhance and track their child's development.
The app was founded by Early Childhood Experts Jennie Johns MBE and Alistair Bryce-Clegg who have supported and empowered a vast number of parents to give their children the best start in life.

They also have a Facebook page providing lots of advice, podcasts and helpful videos.
